Missing Man With Alzheimer's Returns Home Safely

Salvador Domingues speaks only Spanish and did not have any identification or money in his possession when last seen.

An Alzheimer's patient who went missing after boarding a trolley by himself at an East County transit depot returned home unharmed Thursday, authorities reported.

Salvador Domingues, 67, disappeared after getting onto the light-rail tram in the 300 block of South Marshall Avenue in El Cajon about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Domingues, who had no identification or money with him, returned to his San Diego home this afternoon in good condition. It was unclear where he was during his absence.
