One Fatality in Lakeside Car Crash

One person died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle traffic accident on a rural East County road.
The fatal crash on Wildcat Canyon Road in the Lakeside area was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The victim, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene.
The accident left the north-south route blocked near Muth Valley Road into the mid-afternoon, the CHP reported.
