Santee Crime Report: Aug. 22-28

Local crime stories from the past week:

Incidents of note from Sheriff's press book:

• On the evening of Aug. 29, a vehicle was reported stolen to the Santee Sheriff's Dept. on the 8000 block of Cottonwood Avenue. The vehicle, an orange pickup, was valued at $10,000. No suspect information was given.

• At 2 a.m. on Aug. 27, a vehicle was reported stolen to the Santee Sheriff's Dept. on the 8000 block of Ellsworth Lane. It was recovered locally by deputies and two juveniles were taken into custody.

• On Aug. 24, at 9400 Cuyamaca Street reported a shoplifting incident, with goods stolen valued at $23. Deputies arrested an unnamed suspect for the robbery.

• Deputies were called Aug. 24 at 3:30am to the 8000 block of Graves Avenue for a disturbance/argument. Cody Doyle, 19, was subsequently arrested on allegations of residential burglary and "threatening a crime with intent to terrorize," both felonies, and was booked into San Diego Central Jail.

• Deputies were called at 12:30 a.m. on August 24 to the 8000 block of N Magnolia Avenue on a report of trespassing. Dustin Salaun, 22, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of felony residential burglary and was booked in San Diego Central Jail.

• Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of "shooting at a vehicle/dwelling," on Aug. 23 at 10:30pm at the 10000 block of Valor Place. No arrests were made.

Residential burglaries or grand thefts from buildings classified as felonies:

• Residential burglary- Mast Boulevard @ Halberns at 4 p.m. Shane Miranda, 27, was arrested on allegations of felony burglary and possession of controlled substance and booked into San Diego Central Jail.
• 8000 block of Summercrest Lane on the evening of Aug. 24- residential burglary.
• 9000 block of N Magnolia on the afternoon of Aug. 20- grand theft of a bicycle valued at $1,000.

Vehicle burglaries or vandalism with items stolen/destroyed valued at less than $400 (petty theft) reported at:

• 100 block of Silvercreek Road on evening of Aug. 26- vehicle burglary.
• 8000 block of Buena Valley Drive at noon on Aug. 23- petty theft from vehicle.
• 9000 block of Cottonwood Avenue on the evening of Aug. 25- vandalism.
• 11000 block of Collinwood Drive on the morning of Aug. 26- vehicle vandalism.
• 8000 Atlas Drive on Aug. 24- stolen cell phone.
• 8000 Mesa Road on the morning of Aug. 24- stolen license plate.
• 9000 block of Prospect Avenue on Aug. 27- shoplifting.

Vehicle burglaries or vandalism with items stolen valued at .more than $400 (grand theft) or classified as felonies reported  at:

• 9000 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of Aug. 24- vandalism to vehicle.
• 9000 Delia Lane on the morning of Aug. 26- petty theft from a vehicle.
