Santee Crime Report: June 6-12

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for June 6-12. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

• in the 7900 block of Mission Gorge Road reported being
vandalized on the morning of June 12. Damage to building material was set at $300. No suspect information was reported.

• Michael Waldron, 53, was served with a warrant for his arrest at Mast Boulevard and Bilteer on the evening of June 12. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on the misdemeanor warrant.

• A juvenile was detained on a curfew violation in the 10600 block of north Magnolia Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. after being stopped by a deputy. The juvenile was released a short time later.

• A 53-year-old man was arrested on a felony drug allegation after a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 10700 block of Kenney Street shortly after midnight on June 11. Arthur Copeland was arrested on possessing a controlled substance and booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• Deputies arrested a 42-year-old woman on Julian Avenue in Lakeside after authorities received a fraud complaint on the afternoon of June 10. The alleged offenses were reported at various locations throughout Santee and Lakeside. A 19-year-old woman reported the theft of an ATM card and $840 in cash. Authorities identified the suspect as Liza Russell. She was booked into women's jail in Santee on three felonies: using an access card without consent, receiving stolen property and selling a lost access card.

• A 38-year-old man reported the theft of a bicycle in the 100 block of Civic Center Drive on the evening of June 9. The bicycle was described as a black and brown Beach Cruiser valued at $189.

• A juvenile was arrested after vandalizing a home and threatening a resident in the 10100 block of El Poquito Lane on the evening of June 9. The juvenile, whose name was not released, reportedly threatened a 45-year-old woman and caused about $500 in damage to household goods. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of threatening a crime with "intent to terrorize," a felony, according to a report.

• A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery after deputies responded to a call at Cuyamaca Street and Mission Creek Drive on the afternoon of June 9. In addition to the misdemeanor battery allegation, June Colorina was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. In a separate case at the same location and time, Heidi Butler, 41, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.

• A 30-year-old woman reported vandalism to a vehicle valued at $6,000 on Town Center Parkway on the morning of June 9. No suspect information was reported. The vehicle was described only as a blue, four-door sedan.

• Nathan Fortier, 39, was arrested on various allegations following a traffic stop at 100 Town Center Parkway on the morning of June 8. In addition to being a felon in possession of a firearm and felony parole violation, he was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on misdemeanor allegations of possessing hypodermics, unlawful paraphernalia, and driving without a valid license.

• A 28-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a report of a commercial burglary in the 9400 block of Wheatlands Court on the evening of June 8. Brett Spaulding was arrested about 20 minutes after deputies received a call, according to a report. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on the misdemeanor warrant.

• Deputies detained two juveniles around 12:30 a.m. on June 8 on a curfew violation in the 9800 block of north Magnolia Avenue. They were released a short time later.

• Two juveniles were arrested on suspicion of battery following a complaint by a 44-year-old woman in the 10200 block of Daybreak Lane on the evening of June 7. The victim reported a minor injury. The case is being handled within the Sheriff's Department, according to a report.

• Two 19-year-old males were turned over to authorities after shoplifting cases were reported at the and stores on Town Center Parkway. Brandon Sekach and Matthew Lucius, were issued citations on misdemeanor petty theft on the evening of June 7 before being released, according to a report.

• Hillary Shaw, 37, was arrested after allegedly attempting to fraudulently obtain controlled substances at the Target in Santee on the afternoon of June 7. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail on felony burglary, and attempting to obtain controlled substances by fraud, in addition to an outstanding arrest warrant.

• A vehicle reported stolen in another jurisdiction was recovered in the 9200 block of Fanita Rancho Road on the morning of June 7. The vehicle was described as a gray, four-door sedan.

• Stephen Speros, 50, was arrested after a 43-year-old woman complained of being battered in the 9500 block of Cambury Drive on the morning of June 7. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• A juvenile was detained near (9900 north Magnolia Avenue) after allegedly battering an unnamed victim on school grounds on the afternoon of June 6. The juvenile was released a short time after being questioned by a deputy.

• A 23-year-old man was arrested after alleged attempts to take electronic components from the in the 200 block of Town Center Parkway on
the morning of June 6. Ryan Christianson was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on felony petty theft with a prior jail term, and an outstanding arrest warrant. About $75 in merchandise was reportedly recovered.

• Two men were arrested on assault allegations following a complaint by a 31-year-old man in the 9800 block of Mast and North Magnolia on the evening of June 5. The suspects, identified as John Roders, 23, and Jae Roders, 19, were arrested on Lindvern Court several hours later on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. Jae Roders faces an additional allegation of felony vandalism.

• A man and woman in their early 30s were arrested after an attempted robbery at the Target in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of June 5. A 28-year-old man was also reportedly victimized in the incident, according to a report. The suspects, identified as Andrew McDuffee, 33, and Giovanna Belasco, 31, were arrested on suspicion of felony robbery and conspiracy. McDuffee was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego and Belasco was taken to the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.  A camera and speaker reported stolen were recovered, according to the report.

• A vehicle reported stolen was recovered in the 9800 block of Caspi Gardens Drive on the morning of June 4. The vehicle was described only as gray and valued at $25,000.  An estimated $2,890 worth of items in the vehicle remain missing, according to the report.

• James Percotti, 52, was cited after being stopped at the eastbound State Route 52 off ramp at Cuyamaca Strteet on suspicion of violating a municipal ordinance on the afternoon of May 21. He was cited on suspicion of harassing a person in a public place to solicit money or goods and released.

Vehicle thefts reported value ranging from $2,500 - $4,000:

  • 9800 block of Caspi Gardens Drive on the morning of June 12.
  • 9700 block of San Remo Road on the morning of June 10.
  • 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the morning of June 6.

Residential burglaries or grand thefts from buildings classified as felonies with items stolen valued from $ 1,300 - $3,160:

  • 10300 block of Carefree Drive on the evening of June 9.
  • 10000 block of Pebble Beach Drive on the afternoon of June 9.
