Santee Crime Report: March 28 - April 4

The following information comes from Santee Sheriff's Dept. reports. The suspects have not been convicted of a crime.

Wednesday, March 28

A purse snatching was reported in the 9900 block of N Magnolia Ave. at 10 a.m. Three juveniles were detained and released in connection to this incident and the property was returned.

Thursday, March 29

A battery was reported in the 10100 block of Montura Ave. with a 43-year-old victim and a juvenile arrested.

A case of shoplifting of goods worth $200 was reported at Kohl's, resulting in the arrest of a 33-year-old woman.

Friday, March 30

A case of commercial burglary valued at $60 was reported at Target. An 18-year-old woman was arrested and sent to Las Colinas Detention Facility.

A case of vandalism was reported in the 10100 block of Mission Gorge Rd. at Extra Space Storage. The damage was valued at about $200.

Saturday, March 31

A vehicle valued at $21,000 was reported stolen in the 100 block of Barona Rd.

Sunday, April 1

A case of shoplifting valued at about $100 was reported at Kohl's. Two were arrested, age 28 and 41, and were sent to Las Colinas.

Petty theft of keys, a purse and credit card valued at $300 was reported in the 10200 block of Prospect Ave.

A case of vehicle vandalism with damage valued at $1,600 was reported in the 1000 block of Lafe Dr.

Monday, April 2

Burglary from a vehicle was reported in the 8600 block of Graves Ave. Glasses, a backpack and other items valued at $900 were reported stolen.

Petty theft of a purse and iPod valued at about $400 in the 9800 block of N Magnolia.

A report of a "sex crime against a child" was made in the 9600 block of Hillcreek Lane.

A report of vandalism to a vehicle with damage estimated at $1,000 was made in the 9000 block of Cuyamaca St.

A battery was reported in the 8600 block of Northview Ln. against a 36-year-old victim. A 24-year-old male was arrested and sent to the San Diego Central Jail.

A lawn mower was reported stolen in the 9400 block of Stoyer Dr.

A case of vandalism was reported at Office Depot; $500 in damage was reported done to the building.

Tuesday, April 3

Commercial burglary of construction and gardening equipment valued at $3,000 was reported in the 10100 block of Mission Gorge Rd.

A commercial burglary of TV, stereo and other equipment valued at $1,300 was reported in the 100 block of Town Center.

Wednesday, April 4

Petty theft of a bike valued at $3,500 was reported in the 100 block of Via Montisi.

A shoplifting of 10 items valued at $425 was reported at Tilly's.

Vandalism valued at $200 was reported in the 9300 block of Creekside.

A residential burglary was reported in the 9700 block of Abbeywood Rd. Coins, CD player and a cell phone valued at about $400 were reported stolen.

$1,000 worth of vandalism was reported in the 9000 block of Carlton Hills Blvd.

A residential burglary of $500 of various items was reported in the 10200 block of Paseo Park Dr.
