Santee Crime Report: May 23-29

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for May 23 to May 29. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

Santee Patch has started publishing a , a less detailed list of alleged Santee offenders, the Weekly Report focuses on incidents of interest with detailed reports.

Incidents of interest:

• Christine Ashley Depierro, 28, was arrested after a warrant was served in the 8600 block of Paseo Del Sol on the evening of May 27, according to reports at the Santee station of the . She was booked into the women's jail in Santee on the felony warrant. Jail records show she remains jailed on felony theft and burglary charges pending a scheduled June 3 court appearance.

• A suspicious person report led to the arrest of a 53-year-old woman at the , 9700 block of Mission Gorge Road, on the afternoon of May 28. Gail Swetesky was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and public drunkenness. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee. About $51 worth of household goods was reportedly recovered.

• An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary at the in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of May 29. Matthew Jackson was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of the felony allegation. Two bottles of liquor valued at $40 was reportedly recovered.

• Trinidad Moreno, 29, was arrested on suspicion of injuring a victim in the 8700 block of Railroad Avenue on the morning of May 30. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of the felony allegation.

• A 29-year-old man was arrested after a fight was reported in the 8800 block of Bushy Hill Drive on the evening of May 29. Matthew Jaros, 29, was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of resisting arrest and public drunkenness, both misdemeanors.

• Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of stealing a vehicle from an unidentified agency on the evening of May 29. Clifford Chapman was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on felony vehicle theft. The vehicle recovered was described only as a gray pickup valued at $19,200.

• A 19-year-old man reported being robbed of $40 cash in the 9700 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of May 27. He sustained a minor injury during the strong-arm robbery, according to a report. No suspect information was reported.

• Tim Padilla, 51, was arrested on suspicion of violating a court order in the 9300 block of Rigsby Drive on the evening of May 26. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on a misdemeanor.

• A 20-year-old man was arrested on a felony battery allegation after an alleged assault on a 43-year-old man on the evening of May 25. The incident was reported in the 10100 block of Woodpark Drive, according to a report. The victim sustained possible broken bones in the incident. Anthony Rosa was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• A 19-year-old man was arrested after a suspicious person report at Homefed Fanita Rancho LLC, 9400 Lake Canyon Road, on the morning of May 25. Dylan Castle was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and trespassing, both misdemeanors. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• Stephen Hissom, 52, was arrested on an outstanding warrant while a deputy was on foot patrol in the 9400 block of Prospect Avenue on the morning of May 25. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. The nature of the warrant was not detailed in the report.

• A 44-year-old man was arrested following a traffic stop in the 12100 block of Woodside Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on May 24. Scott Forbes, 44, was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of resisting arrest, violating a court order, and public drunkenness.

• Loren Hobbs, 44, was arrested on a felony parole violation after being contacted by a deputy in the 8800 block of Cuyamaca Street on the morning of May 23. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. The nature of the violation was not detailed in the report.

• A 41-year-old man was arrested after being contacted in the 12600 block of
Lakeshore Drive on the morning of May 23. Thomas Williams, 41, was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and a felony parole violation.

• Joleen Bumgardner, 21, was arrested after being stopped in the 10800 block of Woodside Avenue on the morning of May 23. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on a misdemeanor warrant, which was not detailed in the report.

• An 18-year-old man was cited on suspicion of battery after deputies received a complaint of an "armed suspicious person" at Petite Lane and Lindo Lane on the afternoon of May 21. Five people complained of battery, two of them had injuries described as minor,  according to  the summary report. The victims' names were withheld in the report. The suspect was identified as Michael Birouty. He was issued the citation alleging a after being contacted in Lakeside, according to the report.

• Three people were arrested on felony drug allegations in the 10400 block of Mast Boulevard on the morning of May 19. All three were jailed on felony possessing drugs for sale, possession of controlled substances and conspiracy. Robert Tharp, 35, and Anthony Richardson, 22, were booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego, while Celina Martinez, 33, was booked into the at Las Colinas woman's jail  in Santee.

Vehicle thefts reported:

  • 9400 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon  of May 30. Vehicle described as beige, four door valued at $2,300.
  • 10400 block of Mast Boulevard on the afternoon of May 30. Vehicle described as silver, valued at $2,000.
  • 9800 block of Caspi Gardens Drive on the afternoon of May 27. Vehicle described as a silver SUV valued at $15,000.
  • 10400 Mast Boulevard on the morning of May 27. Vehicle described as white pickup valued at $6,000.
  • 10000 block of Via Leslie on the morning of May 25. Vehicle described as black SUV valued at $17,000. Vehicle was subsequently recovered, according to the report.
  • 8800 block of Rockville Street on the afternoon of May 24. Vehicle described as white convertible valued at $4,800
  • 9600 block of Cambury Drive on the morning of May 24. Vehicles described as green, two-door sedan valued at $3,000 and dark green two-door sedan valued at $1,500.
  • 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the afternoon of May 23. Vehicle described as black, two-door sedan valued at $1,500.
  • DG Plumbing, 200 Greenfield Drive on the morning of May 21. Vehicle described as white van, valued at $7,000.
  • Crossman Landscape, 8600 Cuyamaca Street on the morning of May 17. Missing vehicles described as a white pickup tanned a black utility trailer with a total value of $7,000.  Another vehicle valued at $,000 was subsequently recovered.

Residential burglaries or grand thefts from buildings classified as felonies with items stolen valued from $1,540 to $ $5,000:

  • 10300 block of Bart Way on the afternoon  of May 28.
  • 9900 block of north Magnolia Avenue on the morning of May 19.

  • 9900 block of Mission Gorge on the morning of May 19.
