Santee Crime Report: Week of March 14

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department for March. 14-21. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

Santee Patch has started publishing a , a less detailed list of alleged Santee offenders, the Weekly Report focuses on incidents of interest with detailed reports.

Incidents of interest:

• A construction worker was arrested after a shoplifting incident was reported at the in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of March 19, according to a report at the Santee station of the the . Gregory Burley, 52, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor petty theft after store workers recovered liquor and other goods, according to the report. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

Earlier that evening, two other suspects were arrested on felony allegations of burglary at the Vons, according to the report. Anthony Soto, 19, and Christopher Dobbins, 22, were jailed after authorities recovered miscellaneous food items.

• Christina Pruitt, 22, was arrested on drug allegations after being stopped by a deputy in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of March 18. She was booked into the women's jail  on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

• Sean McCrary, 36, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 10100 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of March 30. The arrest occurred after a deputy was dispatched to check the welfare of a citizen, according to a report. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego after his arrest.

• reported $1,000 in vandalism in the 8900 block of Carlton
Hills boulevard on the evening of March 20. The incident, which was not
detailed, was reported around 10:20 p.m.

• A call of a "suspicious person" resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old man on two misdemeanors and an infraction on the evening of March 15. Deputies were called to the 9000 block of Farrington Drive around 11:44 p.m. The suspect, Matthew Hebert, was eventually arrested on suspicion of obstructing peace officers, being drunk in public , and possession of marijuana. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• A vehicle was reported stolen by in the 8900 block of Edgemoor Drive on the afternoon of March 6, according to a report. The vehicle was recovered in another jurisdiction that was not detailed in the report. The gray, four-door sedan was valued at $15,000 by the company. No suspect information was listed in the report.

• Jacob Sones, 21, was arrested on felony parole violation near the intersection of Woodrose Avenue and El Nopal during the early morning hours of March 17. Sones was unarmed and arrested shortly before 4 a.m. and taken to County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• A stolen vehicle was recovered near the intersection of Park Avenue and 1st street on the afternoon of March 17. The vehicle, owned by a 42-year-old woman,. was described only as a two-door sedan valued at $2,000. No arrests were reported.

• A home was reported burglarized in the 9300 block of Kaschube Way on the
morning of March 17. An elderly couple reported the theft of credit cards and other miscellaneous items with a total value of $800. No suspect information was listed.

• Televisions and a watch were reported stolen from a home in the 8700 block of Atlas View Drive on the evening of March 17. The items were noticed missing the night before by the 47-year-old male victim, according to a report. Total value of the loss was set at more than $1,200. No suspect information was reported.

• A vehicle was reported burglarized in the 200 block of Town Center Parkway on the afternoon of March 10. The 21-year-old female victim reported the theft occurred the day before, resulting in the loss of a purse, wallet, checkbooks and other items valued at more than $300. An ATM card reportedly stolen resulted in a theft of less than $950, according to the report. No suspect information was listed.

• Several thousand dollars worth of parts and tools were reported stolen during a vehicle burglary reported in the 9400 block of Wheatlands Court on the morning of March 16. LR Entertainment and reported the theft of the parts, valued at $7,500 and about $17,500 in "miscellaneous tools." No suspect information was reported.

• A 43-year-old woman was arrested after deputies were called to investigate a report of a "person down" in the 200 block of Town Center Parkway. The incident was reported shortly after midnight on March 16.   Heather Knutson was booked into  women's jail at  on suspicion of drunken driving and possessing controlled substances without a prescription.

• A man was arrested after a vehicle pursuit on the afternoon of March 4 on suspicion of drunken driving. The suspect, identified as David Ramsdell, 35, listed his occupation as coach. He was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Swanton Drive near Carlton Hills Boulevard about an hour after the reported pursuit and booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• A home was reported burglarized in the 8700 block of Redwood Drive on the
morning of March 15. The victims, in their 20s, reported the loss of items ranging from video players and a computer to bicycles, clothing and hand tools with a total value of more than $5,000. No suspect information was listed

• A juvenile was cited on suspicion of battery after another juvenile reported the incident in the 8700 block of Mast Boulevard  on the afternoon of Jan. 18. The juvenile victim sustained a minor injury. The alleged assailant was cited and released, according to a report.

• A juvenile was detained on suspicion of loitering near the intersection of Hartland Circle and Mast Boulevard on the morning of March 24. The unnamed juvenile was detained for approximately 10 minutes. The case is being handled within the department, according to a report.

• A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and hit-and-run property damage on the evening of Feb. 26.  According to a report, the incident occurred near the intersection of Carlton Oaks Drive and Carlton Hills Boulevard around 9:38 p.m.. The suspect, identified as Keith Moores, was booked on the misdemeanors into the County Jail in downtown San Diego after being arrested at Kreiner Way shortly after 10 p.m.

• Deputies contacted two juveniles after a report of a disturbance near the intersection of Careta and El Nopal on the afternoon of March 9. They were detained at a location on north Magnolia avenue  on suspicion of loitering before being released a short time later.

• An elderly man and woman reported the theft of cash from a building in the 9700 block of Carlton Hills Boulevard on the morning of March. 13. Approximately $1,000 in cash and a box valued at $20 was stolen, according to the report.  The items were notice ed missing on the morning of March 12, according to a report. The thefts were reported by a woman, 84, and a man, 73, who are not related, according to the report. No suspect information was listed.

• Three juveniles reported being robbed of two bicycles at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Mast Boulevard on the afternoon of March 13. The victims reported the theft of a white FIT valued at $600, and a custom gray bicycle valued at $1,000.  No suspect information was reported.
