Santee Crime Report: Week of May 2

The following information was provided by the Santee Sheriff's Department and CrimeMapping.com mainly for May 2 to May 8. The defendants have not been convicted of a crime.

• Residential burglaries classified as felonies with items stolen valued from $ to $6500 - $19,900:

  • 9100 block of Heatherdale Street during the summer of 2010. No reason was given for the delay in reporting the theft.
  • 8300 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of May 3.

• Vehicle burglaries with items  stolen valued at less than $400 (petty
theft) reported at:

  • 11000 block of Meadow Terrace Drive on the afternoon of May 6.
  • 100 block of Town Center Parkway on the afternoon of May 4.

• Vehicle burglaries with items stolen valued at more than $400 (grand
theft) or classified as felonies reported  at:

  • 8800 block of Graves Avenue on the afternoon of May 4.
  • 9900 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of May 1.

• Two men in their 20s were cited after a report of racing near the intersection of Mission Gorge Road and Town Center Parkway on the afternoon of May 4,
according to reports at the Santee station of the .

Both Keith Miller, 21, and Nathan McLaughlin, 23, were released following the citations on suspicion of misdemeanor involvement in an illegal speed contest, according to a report.

• A 40-year-old man was cited after being stopped by a deputy at Rancho Fanita Drive and Mission Gorge Road on the morning of May 7. Dennis Parsons was allegedly found in possession of unlawful paraphernalia, according to a report, and was released after receiving the citation.

• An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at the in the 9400 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of May 7. Paige Blanchard allegedly attempted to take $129 worth of clothing that was subsequently recovered, according to a report. The allegation is a misdemeanor.

• Andrew Nenigar, 23, was arrested on a felony after a victim reported a minor injury in the 10300 block of Bart Way on the afternoon of May 7. He was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• reported a "dine and dash" in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road on the evening of May 7. The report is officially listed as "defrauding an innkeeper" for a food bill of $11.09. The violation is a misdemeanor. No suspect information was listed.

• A 20-year-old man reported vandalism to a home in the 9400 block of Lake Canyon Road on the morning of May 8. The victim listed the damage to the home at $3,000. The nature of the damage was not detailed in the report.

• A 25-year-old woman reported being on the receiving end of a gang threat on the evening of May 6 in the 9200 block of Shadow Hill Road. No suspect information was reported and the nature of the threat was not detailed in the report.

• Scott Fryson, 51, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery following a complaint on the evening of May 5 in the 10100 block of East Glendon Circle. He was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• The in the 9800 block of Mission Gorge Road reported the loss of more than $2,000 worth of merchandise on the afternoon of May 5. The stolen items ranged from a $12 piece of computer equipment to $1,276 in miscellaneous jewelry. No suspect information was listed in the report.

• A 43-year-old man was arrested after deputies were called to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the 8500 block of Graves Avenue on the afternoon of May 5. The suspect, identified as Dennis Miljour, was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.

• David Nelson, 29, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant at the intersection of Carlton Oaks Drive and Massot avenue on the afternoon of May 5. The nature of the warrant was not listed in the report. Three pieces of identification were also reportedly recovered during the arrest.

• A 57-year-old man was arrested following a report of a reckless driver in the 200 block of Town Center Parkway on the morning of May 5. Chester Artis was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of drunken driving and being under the influence of a controlled substance. No damage or injuries were reported.

• A 19-year-old man was arrested in the 9800 block of North Magnollia Avenue on drug allegations on the morning of May 5. Trevor Swier was arrested on possessing a controlled substance, a felony, and two misdemeanor allegations of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance, It was also alleged that Swier was in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Matthew Naples, 18, was arrested at the Santee sheriff's station on the afternoon of May 4 on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego.

• Two people were arrested after an 18-year-old man complained of being battered in the 9800 block of Park Terrace Drive on the afternoon of May 4. Coty Hamlett, 23, was arrested on felony conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the County Jail in downtown San Diego. Brittany Wood, 19, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, a felony,  and booked into the women's jail at in Santee. The victim reported an minor injury during the incident.

• An unidentified juvenile was arrested following a battery complaint in the 9500 block of Cottonwood Avenue on the afternoon of May 4. The 18-year-old victim reported a minor injury. The juvenile was detained on a misdemeanor allegation, according to a report.

• Two people were arrested on drug allegations in the 10200 block of Princess Joann Road on the morning of May 4. Steven Henderson, 52, was booked into County Jail on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, and two misdemeanors of being under the influence and possessing drug paraphernalia. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. Kathy Pegram, 44, was taken to the Las Colinas women's jail on felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor allegation of being under the influence.

• Chelsea Smith, 18, was arrested on misdemeanor drug use and possessing drug paraphernalia in the 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive on the morning of May 4. She was booked into the  Las Colinas women's jail. In what was listed as a separate incident, Anthony Smith, 20, was arrested at the same location and time on suspicion of possessing a hypodermic needle. He was cited and released on the misdemeanor allegation.

• Suave Harrington, 21, was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement at the at 100 Town Center Parkway on the evening of May 3. Harrington was booked into County Jail on a felony allegation after the theft of $580 worth of cash, papers and ID was reported stolen. He is reportedly a cashier at the store.

• Staci Adams, 19, was arrested on suspicion of felony shoplifting at the Target, 9800 Mission Gorge Road, on the afternoon of May 3. Adams, a cook, is accused of taking an electronic component valued at $64.99.

• A commercial burglary was reported in the 10100 block of Mission Gorge Road on the morning of May 2. The 84-year-old victim reported the theft of items valued at $1,100. No suspect information was listed.

• A vehicle was reported stolen in the 9700 block of San Remo Road on the morning of May 2. The 26-year-old victim valued the two-door, white sedan at $4,000. No suspect information was listed.

• Two men were arrested on drug allegations in the 10000 block of Mission Gorge Road on the afternoon of May 1. Both Zerron Castiglione, 18, and Christopher Ruiz, 18, were booked into County Jail in San Diego on misdemeanor suspicion of being under the influence of drugs. Castiglione also faces a felony allegation of possessing controlled substances.

• A 20-year-old man was arrested following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Town Center Parkway on the morning of May 1. Cesar Rivera was arrested on felony possession of concentrated cannabis, according to a report.

• More than $3,000 in vandalism was reported in the 9400 block of Lake Canyon Road on the morning of May 1. The nature of the damage was not detailed in the report.

• Luke Perry, 30, was arrested following a report of a suspicion person on Woodside Avenue on the afternoon of April 1. He faces a misdemeanor allegation of being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to a report.

• Two juveniles were issued citations after being stopped in the 9500 block of Medina Drive on the afternoon of Mary 3. One juvenile was cited on suspicion of loitering, while another was found in possession of a weapon similar to an icepick, possessing marijuana during school activities, possessing smoking paraphernalia and loitering.
