A 21-year-old man was behind bars Tuesday for allegedly robbing a Santee liquor store at gunpoint, authorities said.
The events that led to Victor Gomez being booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of robbery began shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, when the Fanita Liquor Store at 8663 Fanita Drive was held up by a handgun-wielding man masking his face with a bandana, according to sheriff's Sgt. Deputies dispatched to investigate found Gomez about three blocks south, identified him as a suspect and arrested him, Hale said.
