Catch the ear of an elected official and enjoy some holiday goodies at the same time at an upcoming open house hosted by State Sen. Joel Anderson (R-San Diego).
The representative and members of his staff will be on hand to hear from residents in a festive, informal setting.
"It is important for me to represent my district to the best of my ability. This event gives me an opportunity to hear directly from my constituents about their opinions and legislative ideas," Anderson said in a news release. "Certainly my best legislative ideas have come from the people I serve."
The free event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21 at Toyota of El Cajon, 965 Arnele Ave. Anderson will deliver a 2013 legislative update and exchange ideas with constituents. The state senator says many of the bills he has introduced in the past originated from residents who attended the event.
Finger foods and other refreshments will be served. To attend, you must RSVP by Nov. 7. Call the El Cajon District Office at 619-596-3136 or visitwww.senate.ca.gov/anderson.
Anderson holds the 36th District state senate seat, representing a large segment of east San Diego County, and part of Riverside County. The former assemblyman was elected to the state senate in 2010.
