Quail Brush Power Plant

will be held at Pinnacle Peak to discuss the proposed Quail Brush Power Plant project to be built in the hills north of Santee. The Energy Commission public advisor Jennifer Jennings will be attending tonight's meeting.

Santee Patch will be meeting with Cogentrix representatives on Thursday, the company that is lobbying to construct and operate the plant. Please leave any questions you would like relayed to Cogentrix as a comment to this story or email steven.bartholow@patch.com.

Weather

Heavy rain, hail and snow pounded San Diego County Monday night into Tuesday morning, but the precipitation was expected to disappear this morning before a less vigorous storm likely arrives Wednesday evening. Santee recieved .5 inches of rain during Monday's storm, according to NWS.

In Lakeside, lightning caused 30 customers to lose power around 9 p.m.
Monday.
