Education Leader Mark Anderson Shaves Mustache to Earn $48K

The Santee resident agreed to shave his mustache to raise money for a nonprofit.

Santee resident and San Diego County Board of Education President Mark Anderson raised $48,000 by shaving his mustache, the North County Times reported.

Anderson shaved "after people pledged nearly $48,000 to the nonprofit group that raises money for sixth-graders to go to a weeklong outdoor education program in nearby mountains."
