Proclamations

• The council will proclaim July as Parks and Recreation Month and July 11,
2012 as Go Play! Get Fit! Youth Day.

• They will also recognize 2012, Hannah Mueller.
 
Public Hearings

• The council will discuss and hear from the public on the issue of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a liquor store, Beverages and More, to open at 9755 Mission Gorge Road, the Plaza de Cuyamaca shopping center. It would open in the , 9,502 sq. ft. that recently became vacant.
 
• Public hearing on the resolution to put on the ballot an increase in the rate of the city’s from six to ten percent and include campsites in the TOT tax. The resolution must be approved by 2/3 of the council and a majority of voters. The city revenue would increase by an estimated $260,000 annually if it passes in the November election.

New Business

The City Council will vote on the final measures that would approve Santee's aquisition of the . The lands is valued at approximately $2 million, and will cost the city about $20,000 plus $18,750 for annual maintanence. Grants from the State Coastal Conservancy and California Wildlife Conservation Board funded the rest of the acquisition project.
