The city of Santee will recieve a symbolic check from for $135,711- the city's proceeds from their sports complex at from June 2011 through May 2012.

The city is putting a in November which would increase the city's hotel and camping tax in hopes to raise money for a general fund in need. Santee's largest campsite, the , is run by the , and the has been wary of the idea of adding taxes to the cost of camping, especially for their long term campers. In an attempt to gain the support of Padre Dam for the TOT increase, the Council will vote to add an amendment to the resolution exempting stays longer than 30 days from paying any TOT tax for their stay.

New Business

"Appeal of the decision of the (MHFPC) regarding the request for an adjustment to rent ceilings for the Cameron’s Mobile Estates."

In June, the MHFPC decided that the owners of Cameron’s Mobile Estates were receiving fair compensation under Santee's , and that no would be made. Cameron’s Mobile Estates appealed the decision, and now the council must take up the issue. The staff report suggests that the MHFPC finding was correct, and that the council should deny the appeal.
