Santee Dog Waste Bags Are Looking for a Sponsor

The city is looking for some help from local businesses in paying for the 250,000 dog waste bags that are used annually in Santee's parks.

The City of Santee is looking for a business or organization that would be interested in helping offset the costs of providing 250,000 a year to Santee park goers.

Santee offers free bags at 35 stations for proper disposal of dog poop so that the bacteria doesn't runoff into the San Diego River, and let's be honest, no one wants to step in the stuff.

But, the bags cost the city up to $10,000 a year, and in these , the city thinks it would be a great grassroots sponsorship opportunity.

According to the Santee Review, the city is working with Encinitas-based C.A. Advertisers in making the bag stations ad-friendly and finding the right advertisers.

If intersted in advertising, contact Meghan Kudera with C.A. Advertisers at 858-703-7167 or Meghan@CaliforniaAdvertisers.com.

Has the city approached Petco?? It would seem since they have a store in Santee and are a large corporation that perhaps something might be able to get done.

I hope the city allows for smaller sponsorships too - the wonderful small pet oriented businesses could take part, where $10,000 would be over the top for them. Places like All For Pets (great pet supply store!), local groomers and vets ... Wonderful idea, Santee!

Can't send messages to Dad because he's now deceased, but my dad was very wise...He'd say thingsRead More like: "You can get arrested for what you say, but not what you think!" - or - "Take care of your feet, and they'll take care of you!" My dad wasn't much for words, but he was always a stable figure growing up and was loyal to mom throughout the years. Nowadays, that in and of itself is honorable! Thank you Dad! In Loving Memory...
