Update: Santee's Neighboring Medical Marijuana Dispensary Faces Closure
Mother Earth Alternative Healing Cooperative near Gillespie Field is given 45 days before eviction can be enforced.

San Diego County's only licensed dispensary, with a certificate bearing the seal of the Sheriff's Department proudly displayed on the front counter, is facing eviction from their storefront near Gillespie Field, but has been given another 45 days of operation.
The Mother Earth Alternative Healing Cooperative recently asked the federal court to step in and stop the , but was denied that help on Tuesday. Mother Earth would like to remain in business while the court procedures and appeals happen, otherwise, they say, the dispensary will not come back into operation.

On Wednesady, a bankruptcy judge allowed the dispensary to continue providing medicinal cannabis to clients for 45 more days, after which the eviction notice will come back into affect.
The dispensary, the only in the county, serves 70,000 patients. Opponents say that a storefront dispensary that sells marijuana is not allowed by state law.
