Who's Running on Santee Ballot? Time's Up to Enter November Races
The deadline to register as a candidate for city council, mayor, school board and more is up- see who's signed up.

Santee , along with school board and water district openings, and candidates for the upcoming November election had until Friday at 5 p.m. to register their papers- so we know who's running.
Councilmember and Mayor currently occupy the major Santee positions open in November, and both are running as incumbents. Maggie Acerra, a Tea Party candidate, will face off against Dale, and perennial local candidate will run against Voepel.

Other local positions on the ballot include two seats: Dianne El-Hajj has no opposition, and another seat is currently unopposed by an incumbent, as won't be running. Small business owner Elena Levens-Craig is matched against real estate agent Robin Fries in that race ( has yet to return his papers to file).
Two Padre Dam seats, and a seat are also open, see candidates below.

In the 50th Congressional race, Rep. Duncan Hunter will face former San Diego Superior Court clerk David Secor.
At the state level, Assemblyman Brian Jones will compete with businessman Patrick Hurley.
