Fewer homes were sold in Santee in September compared to August and the median sales price dropped, the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors reported.
The latest report showed that 18 detached homes were sold in Santee in September, compared to 45 in August. The median sales price was $377,500, down slightly from the month before. The median is the price at which half of the homes sold for more and half sold for less. It is a better measure of a typical home price than the average, which can be skewed a handful of expensive homes.
Homes that sold in September were on the market an average of 28 days, down from 67 days a year ago, according to the report.
Prices for condominiums and townhouses rose to a median price of $281,300 in Santee in September.
