The Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORS® (PSAR), a trade group for San Diego-area realtors, will host “Operation VA Loan Discovery,” a free class for realtors on loans guaranteed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the PSAR East County Service Center, 1150 Broadway, El Cajon.
The class will be taught by members of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP), a non-profit dedicated to increasing affordable homeownership, economic development and advocacy for active military and veteran families. Topics will include VA underwriting and appraisal challenges and various affordable housing initiatives for Armed Forces personnel. Event sponsors include PSAR, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase & Co., PacTrust Bank and New American Funding.
