Saving Beauty from the Beast: Tips for parents on teen relationships

On Feb. 15, is hosting a free evening for parents and teens in which author Vickie Crompton-Tetter will speak about the content from her book, “Saving Beauty from the Beast.” Among topics will be tips for parents on teen relationships; consequences of texting and technology; self-defense tips; and then a question-and-answer session with a panel of experts.

Crompton-Tetter began advocating teen dating violence education after her daughter, Jenny, was killed by her boyfriend in 1986. Her book, which advises parents on how to protect their children from unhealthy relationships, is a practical guide for parents who are stuck for solutions regarding teen relationship issues.
