Santee Teachers Awarded Innovation Grants, $85,000 for Technological Teaching Tools
Students throughout Santee will benefit from $85,000 in "innovation grants" that will bring iPads, tablets, netbooks, smartboards and other technological teaching tools to local classrooms.
16 teachers in the Santee School District were awarded innovation grants funded by the District and the Santee School District Foundation. Grant proposals submitted by the teachers outlined ideas for using technology tools in innovative ways that support new Common Core State Standards for classrooms.
The district posted congratulations to the teachers and gave an idea of what the grants will be funding:
