New West Hills High Pool Under Construction, Set to Open in March
The school is excited to have a new home for its aquatics teams.
The days of aquatics teams doing their business at the pool are about to come to an end. A new pool is being constructed at West Hills, and is due to be completed in March of 2012.
According to Katy Wright, the Program Manager for the new pool, it will be 25 meters by 25 yards.
The pool features several , including variable speed pumps, LED underwater and overhead lights, thermal , and a 98 percent energy efficient heater.

According to Wright, the $3.8 million in funding for the pool came from .
The planning stage for the pool took more than a year and construction time will take 10 months total- a drop in the bucket for a school that has been waiting for this since opening 25 years ago.
