Jersey Mike's Subs Opening Fundraiser Earns $2,372 for Santee School District Foundation

Jersey Mike’s Subs opened its doors in Santee on November 13 with five days of fundraising earning $2,372 to benefit the students of Santee. 

The new restaurant, located at 9331 Mission Gorge Road, circulated 12,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Santee School District Foundation.

The Jersey Mike’s company said Ibrahim exemplifies the company's quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's dedication to giving back to the local community.  Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.  

The Santee School District Foundation raises money to help local students in a variety of ways. They most recently worked with the district to provide $85,000 in "Innovation Grants" to local teachers for technological teaching projects.
