14th Annual Run for the Arts

The Lakeside Union School District and the Lakeside PTA Council is having their 14th annual Run for the Arts at Lindo Lake Park in Lakeside. 

Run for the Arts is a jog-a-thon/2 mile race, fun run/walk around Lindo Lake with a route easy enough for all ages to do.

The Run for the Arts funding provides an artist-in-residence at each Lakeside elementary and middle school site. All proceeds from the run will benefit the award winning L-E-A-P arts education program in Lakeside District schools that provides artists-in-residence programs, field trips to view artistic performances and arts assemblies.

After the race, participants can enjoy delicious food by provided by the Lakeside Optimist, an arts festival, student art/performance showcase and a health fair with prizes and raffle sponsored by Parks and Recreation of San Diego County. 

Run entry fees are $8 for youth through 17 years old and $15 for adults.  A family price is $38 for two adults and two children with $6 for each additional child.

Registration begins at 8am and the run/walk starts at 9:00 a.m.
