Four Santeeans Place in Surf Town Triathlon and Duathlon
More than 400 people participated in the event that went from Naval Outlying Landing Field to the beach, and four of them were from Santee.
In its 23rd year, the Surf Town Triathlon and Duathlon took place Sunday morning. .
The triathlon was a 500-meter swim, 15K bike ride and 5K run. The Duathlon was a 1,500-meter run and 15K Bike followed by a 5K run.
More than 300 people in the triathlon and about 100 participated in the duathlon, including four Santeeans.

Overall best time went to Charles Karstrom of La Jolla with a 47:27 finish time in the triathlon.
