Lights Added for Night Play on Santana Tennis Courts, Made More Energy Efficient

The city recently made updates to the tennis courts at Santana High School that doubled the number of courts able to be used at once and made them more energy efficient.

Now up to eight courts are open for public use from sunset to 10 p.m. at the high school.

The old timers caused the lights to stay on until 9 p.m., but now they turn off every hour, with the ability for players to easily turn them back on.

The tennis courts at Santana High School are available after school hours to the general public through a joint use agreement with the Grossmont Union School District, according to the Santee Review.
