Lozoya, Gasner Key in Santana's 35-25 Win Over Kearny
Gasner throws for 282 yards, including a 51-yard scoring strike to Lozoya.
When it comes to the Santana High football team, it’s all about Landon Lozoya.
The senior wide receiver averaged more than 30 yards per catch on six receptions as he scored two touchdowns to help the Sultans clip Kearny 35-25 in a non-league game on the Sultans' field Friday.
Lozoya also rushed for four yards on two carries and completed two of four passes for 19 yards as Santana improved to 2-0.

“He’s such a great athlete. He does things you can’t teach other guys,” said Santana coach Dave Gross.
With the game tied 7-7, the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Lozoya hauled in a 51-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kyle Gasner, who completed 12 of 23 passes for 282 yards and three TDs for Santana.

In addition to Lozoya, tight end T.D. Gross caught three passes for 26 yards and one score, while Spencer Love caught two passes for 49 yards. Tyler Weiss also caught two passes for 16 yards.
The Sultans will host Imperial on Friday at 7.
