More than 500 runners and waddlers lapped around the Santee Lakes before the big meal.
More than 500 runners and waddlers lapped around the Santee Lakes before their big Thanksgiving meal at Thursday's Waddle and Trot 5K.
The first Thanksgiving 5K in Santee started at Pathways Community Church, went down Mast Boulevard, looped around the Santee Lakes and finished back at Pathways.
A shorter kids run was also held, which looped around the shopping center.

All proceeds from the event went to the Santee Santas and Santee Food Bank.
