Santana High's Chase Webster Among U.S. Top 100 Divers

The junior went undefeated is his recent season and will compete this month in two national meets.

A Santana High School junior is attracting the attention of the diving world.

Chase Webster, the San Diego Section Division II champ, had an undefeated season and is ranked in the top 100 among divers nationally. 

He is training in San Antonio, according to U-T San Diego, and will participate in the USA Diving National Qualifiers beginning July 19, and the Amateur Athletic Union Diving Nationals beginning July 23.

Chase is also part of the San Diego State Dive Club, and his coach Dennis Taylor said “he looks like he has the tools to go a long way in the sport.”

A diver is versatile too – Chase isn't just interested in competing in the Olympics someday, according to the report, but also in a professional life with Cirque de Soieil.
