Photos: Santee Fills Up on Blues & BBQ

Between Phil's BBQ, Stoney B and Bill Magee Blues Bands, the crowd boogied till they dropped.

The  continued on Thursday with the standout act of the season- Blues and BBQ Night with the Stone B Blues Band and Bill Magee Blues Band at .

The show started early and went late and of the nearly 4,500 that people showed up to dance, drink and chow down on BBQ, most of them stayed until the very end.

Stone B, the grandson of Howlin' Wolf and Bill Magee, who played back up for Jimi Hendrix, are bonafide bluesmen that brought the sounds of Muddy Waters to the San Diego River.

The beer garden hosted by Santee's own  was also on tap.

Santee Community Services Director Bill Maertz said this kind of community event is what he envisioned for Santee when he interviewed for the job a few years ago.

Next week's concert features Three Chord Justice, a local country band that will get Santee twangin'.
