Special 2012 Comic-Con Trolley Schedule Released

The trolley will be running earlier and later for San Diego's biggest event of the year, including the last stop- Santee.

The Metropolitan Transit Service announced expanded trolley service to accommodate visitors headed to and from the San Diego Convention Center.

The Green Line will be extended through Old Town to the San Diego Convention Center and Gaslamp Quarter stations, MTS officials said.

Green Line service will run to and from the convention center every 15 minutes on Wednesday.

On Thursday and Friday, service to the convention center will run every 15 minutes starting at 6:08 a.m. . Trips from the convention center will run every 15 minutes until 8:40 p.m. then every 30 minutes from 9:10 p.m. through the last trip at 12:40 a.m.

On Saturday, Green Line trains to the convention center will run every 15 minutes beginning at 6:25 a.m. from Qualcomm Stadium and 6:35 from Santee. Trains will leave the convention center every 15 minutes and eastbound trains will alternate stopping in Santee and at the stadium starting at 8:40 p.m. The last train to Santee will depart from the convention center at 1:10 a.m. Sunday and the final departure at 1:40 a.m. will terminate at the SDSU Transit Center.

On Sunday, Green Line service will run every 15 minutes with the first trip from the stadium at 6:25 a.m. and from Santee at 6:35 a.m. Trips from the convention center will leave every 15 minutes until 6:40 p.m.

Increased service on the Blue and Orange lines will also be available throughout the event, according to MTS.

On Wednesday through Saturday, Blue Line southbound service from 12th and Imperial Transit Center will run every 15 minutes until 8:08 p.m. then every 30 minutes until the last trip at 12:08 a.m.

Orange Line trips from the convention center will run every 15 minutes until 8:30 p.m. then every 30 minutes until the last trip at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday thorough Friday and 12:15 a.m. Saturday. Also Saturday, service from Gillespie Field will run every 15 minutes starting at 6:22 a.m.

All other MTS services will operate on schedule except the San Diego Vintage Trolley, which will not run Thursday, Saturday or Sunday.
