The event is for the community—a give and a take to help out your neighbors.

“We are holding this as an outreach to the community to help people get the clothing they may need but in some cases may not be able to afford due to tough economic times,” the event’s organizer and member of the church Kristine Quirk said.

The actual event, where everyone can come and pick through the clothes, is Aug. 11 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. But people are encouraged to donate items like clothing, shoes, backpacks and accessories for all ages.

“Donations are not required to take part in the event,” Quirk said. “But the more donations we receive, the better the event for everyone.”

Ready to give the things you don’t need to someone who does? Collection boxes are available in the church lobby and donations can also be dropped off at the church office in the North end of Pathways Plaza (#9638). Donations are also welcome the day of the event.

“This is a great way to put the clothing, shoes and accessories that you don't need anymore to use to help someone else within our community,” Quirk said.
