On July 13, the Rancho held their 22nd annual club officers installation and LION of the Year ceremony at Willow Brooks Estates in Lakeside.
New President, Arthur “Artie” G. Wall was installed by Lions 4-L6 Past District Governor, Jan Gustavel in a ceremony attended by LIONS club members, Leadership, Experience, Opportunity (LEO) club members, family and friends.
“I believe in volunteering and becoming involved with your community,” said Wall, “not only do I enjoy belonging to this LIONS Club, because of what we do for Santee, but this club is like a family to me.”
Wall relieved Immediate Past President, Susan Godwin, owner of Hearing Solutions in Santee, with a “passing of the gavel” ceremony.
“I’m happy to have been the president of this LIONS club,” said Godwin, “we have done so many great things for the community and I look forward to new ideas and projects for this club with Artie as the leader.”
