<p>The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is on contract with the City of Santee to provide law enforcement services, including emergency services, crime prevention programs, patrol and traffic services, parking enforcement, noise complaints, crime analysis, investigations and narcotics enforcement.</p>
<p>Deputies on patrol respond to service calls 24 hours a day. The main Sheriff's Station in Santee is open on weekdays for public drop-ins. It also provides law enforcement services to residents who live in the unincorporated communities in Lakeside and El Cajon.</p> <p>The San Diego County Sheriff's <a href="http://www.sdsheriff.net/co_svp.html">Senior Volunteer Patrol program</a> assists in certain aspects of law enforement and is in full force in Santee.
