On a City of Santee sign between Home Depot and Cuyumaca one of the blank areas is written…Read More "Skinhead". My 8 year old grandchild asked me what it meant. I couldn't believe it so I made a U-turn at Mission Gorge and another at the Home Depot entrance and saw it for myself. But, not to worry, we don't have any racism here in Santee. It must be someone trying to make believe we have a problem.

Pat - Yes the invitation would be to all Santee residents. There could even be an Irish and Italian…Read More day. I am sorry you don’t feel a need to celebrate our complexity. I believe the more we know about others’ heritage, the more homogeneous we are, which is what America is all about. You are probably right. Santee is a conservative, Republican (AND WHITE) stong-hold that probably doesn’t need any diversity-training and Mayor Voepel represents y’all.

Ken life is just so much fun in La Mesa! Last Saturday was very exciting with Dan Ackroyd and all us…Read More fans standing in line to meet him. He was scheduled to stay to 1 PM but with so many fans Dan stayed until 2:30PM just to make sure everyone had the chance to say hello and have a picture taken with him. Two words to describe Dan Ackroyd; gracious and welcoming, the same today as the first time I met him 25 years ago. Oh and yes he signed my baseball hat. La Mesa we are the jewel of the hills.

The entire farce was just to give the trophy wife something to do. ANYBODY can ride a horse around in circles. I saw Valitar and I have to agree with Mr. Zatkow. Tatyana Remley was the most out of place…Read More individual in the entire show. Literally EVERYONE else was in for the spirit of the show and they did amazing and entertaining performances. Remley, however just pranced around on a horse with a serious case of "Look at me" that was a real turn off. At least twice she came out doing essentially the same thing and it sort of turned my stomach it was so obvious. It had "I wanna be int the show" written all over it. Kudos to the rest of the cast for putting up with that garbage - you are all better people than I 'cause I would have expressed my opinion and then left as did many so I read.
