Maybe its time to form a "Guardian Angels" unit for Santee, I know when the undesirablesRead More moved into areas in east coast cities these units where very effective in driving them out and keeping people safe. I know its diffiicult to get Sheriff deputys all the time and "the angels" are not expensive.

Happened May 13- I just italicized it for emphasis. There was a redesign bug where one of the adsRead More covered some of the story, that might have been the issue, but it's now fixed.

Where was the armed robbery? I see some burglaries and thefts, but didn't see the robbery listed

That's just bad cashiering!!! ALWAYS count the cash when someone else has handled it prior toRead More putting it in the till.

I'm looking for the Santee resident/adult that punched my 15 year old in the jaw on 5/6/2013 atRead More 3:30pm by Pathways Church. He left with approximately 5-6 friends in a Grey SUV with a tire on the back. Any information to help me find this person would be more than appreciated.

I just say no to all who come up to my door or dont answer it unless its from a kid I knowRead More personally. I have started taking pictures of all salesmen who come up to my door. That is why I tinted all of my windows in the front of the house. I can see them but they can not see me.

Was this the cause for all the cops on mission gorge rd last night around 10pm? Down aroundRead More intersection w/ Olive?

I saw the circle painted on the street where he was hit. The car was heading west in the right laneRead More just shy of reaching the top of the hill. It looked like the guy on the bike either just left the side walk or almost reached it. So sad.

May this man RIP, very sad. Have not seen a single follow up about who this person was, survived byRead More any family?? May God bless all involved.

Hey Kathy, Maybe you should know the facts prior to posting your opinion! Things arent always asRead More they seem just because the media talks about it!
Kathy April 27, 2013 at 04:11 am
He is in need of some mental health and I hope the courts order it and not just give him probationRead More and a slap on the hand. He could of easily shot a car driving by if his aim was off. After all, his common sense was off, that's for sure.

I like how the article fails to mention the SWASTIKAs, instead using the generic termRead More "graffiti'. Once again Santee shows it is a cesspool of racist dimwits. These little turds will make NOTHING of their lives, just perpetuate Santee's NEVER ENDING rep as a town where these cancerous types FESTER. I saw the pics, the little bastards don't even draw the swastika correctly. Not even competent hat mongers, lol. Cowards have to do it in dark of night, not during the day where they would get the royal crap beat out of their pathetic little wimpy bodies.

Young people of Santee, if you know who did this, please let the authortys know. This is your town,Read More where you live and where your neighbors play. It takes guts to stand for something, but if you don't you will fall for anything.
Debbie Sanders April 18, 2013 at 11:13 pm
I appreciate Steve's articles way more often than not... this one just happens to be aRead More "not", Santee Mike. And, yes, I am saddened... for all involved in the incident. Your sarcasm is indicative of your sophomoric values. I love the Santee Patch! And you peanut-gallery commentaries just add to the enjoyment. Steve Bart-man? :::::::rolls eyes:::::

High capacity trolleys are dangerous...BAN THEM NOW!
Kathy April 18, 2013 at 08:08 pm
It doesn't say that the pedestrian was at fault or the Trolley, only that the Trolley applied theRead More brakes to avoid the collision and was unable. I have seen many pedestrians, homeless, not homeless, teenagers, adults, etc run across the trolley tracks thinking they can beat the Trolley. I have also seen the Trolley in the middle of the intersection at Mission Gorge and Cuyumaca when their signaled changed to STOP. I suggest we wait for the facts and not ASSUME.
