It offers year-roundMore care for children starting as young as 6 weeks old up to 5 years old. KinderCare specializes in catering to the needs of developing children by offering small student-teacher ratios and a well-trained faculty. It also offers summer camps with various themes. This facility has a large outdoor play area with lots of equipment and a shaded eating area.

The Aquatic Center is attached to a YMCA facility, but membership is available to all. The center is free for YMCAMore members, $3 per person for Santee residents and $4 for non-residents.

It offers an activity pool with a water jungle gym, a 25 x 25 yard training pool, water slide and aquatic exercise area. Activities like water aerobics classes, open swim, lap swimming, swim lessons and even mother-child swim lessons are scheduled. Private parties can be arranged.

There is a large free parking lot with extra street parking. It is situated directly across from the new Riverwalk housing development.

Boys & Girls Club of East County: Santee Clubhouse

The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County is a safe place for kids ages 6 to 18 to take part in recreation programs,More cultural and physical education, leadership development, and personal adjustment and enrichment programs. It offers youth an alternative to the streets.

Annual memberships cost $40, with additional fees for sports leagues, classes, field trips, transportation and day camps. Sports leagues at the Santee Clubhouse include winter basketball and girls volleyball.

Drop-in hours are 2pm - 6pm, Monday through Friday, and activities include a game
room, homework club, arts and crafts, a computer lab and more.
