Emily Pippin, Neighbor

Emily is an intern for Patch in San Diego County. She is a San Diego native and journalism senior at San Diego State University. She spent most of her teen years growing up in La Mesa, where her parents still reside.  Her work has been published in numerous local news outlets including, <i>The Presidio Sentinel,</i> <i>San Diego Gay and Lesbian News </i>and DiscoverSD.com<i>.</i>

She’s a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda honor society and The National Dean’s List. While attending Grossmont College, she was part of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and on the President’s List for academic achievement.  She greatly enjoys writing and one day hopes to work as an editor.
