Santee's Manzanita Brewing Company Switches Brewmasters
Matt Patterson has taken over the duties from Garry Pittman.
Manzanita Brewing Company has a new master at the top, according to the San Diego Reader.
Matt Patterson has taken over for Garry Pittman, who helped found the Prospect Avenue brewery.
According to the report, Pittman's passion for the work faded, but with Patterson already at Manzanita as head brewer, it was easy to promote him to take Pittman's place.
Patterson came to Manzanita has a volunteer early in 2011 while working another job in Orange County. By the end of year the brewery offered him a full-time job.
Manzanita's beers include Riverwalk Blonde, Rustic Horizon, Witch's Hair, Jazz Man and Lazy Saison.
