Waste Management, the company that takes care of Santee's trash, presented a $37,000 check to city council at the meeting Wednesday evening to cover costs for the city's July Fourth fireworks and other events.
The annual donation has grown over the years, and now supports Santee Salutes, the Holiday Lighting Celebration, Santree Fest and the Summer Concert Series.
"Without this there is no way we could do these events," said Councilmember Rob McNelis.
