View Finder: Phó Ca Dao Coming Soon

There's another Phó Asian food restaurant coming to Santee, the signs have just been installed.

The signs for a new Asian restaurant, Phó Ca Dao, were being installed Monday on the building that used to house , on Mission Gorge Road.

This is a great sign of revitalization for a strip mall that has seen two business closures in the last year; both and closed after a year or less of opening.

Phó Ca Dao has two other locations in San Diego County and has four star (of five stars) Yelp reviews at each location. The banner on the building describes the restaurant as "Rice noodle beef soup and grill" and "Your neighborhood Phó & Grill."

There is no sign of when the restaurant plans to open its doors. Check back to Santee Patch for updates as they become available.

This shop will specialize in Phó, a Vietnamese soup that features noodles, some Asian vegetables, and usually some form of meat. It will be the third Phó restaurant in Santee, joining , which opened off of North Magnolia Avenue in late 2010, and near .

From skimming the Yelp review, it looks like other specialties at Phó Ca Dao will include: Bun Bo Hue, Banh Mi sandwhiches, eggrolls and Che Trai Cay.
