Community Corner
Passover Seder with Chabad
Community members are invited to participate in Chabad of East County's community Seder to be held on Friday night, April 6. The Seder will feature rich discussion about Passover, excellent food, and joyous singing. Chabad Rabbi Rafi Andrusier of the newly established Chabad of East County, will facilitate the inter-generational program.
The community Passover Seder will be held on April 6, 2012, at 7 PM at Quality Inn & Suites, at 1250 El Cajon Blvd, El Cajon, CA, 92020.
The Seder cost $36 per adult and $18 per child, and must be reserved in advance, by contacting Chabad at 619-387-8770 or email info@JewishEC.com. No one will be turned away for lack of ability to pay.
The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated this year from sundown on Friday night, April 6, until after nightfall on Saturday, April 14. Passover commemorates the exodus of the Jews from Egypt and will be celebrated with festive “Seder” dinners on April 6 and 7. Other holiday observances include restricting the consumption of leavened products such as bread and pasta, instead eating unleavened matzah.
