The Grossmont College Career Center’s Adult Reentry Program will host a free seminar that will give you tips on how to get hired again.

“Now That You’ve Been Laid Off” will take place at Grossmont College's Griffin Center, the new student center building.

The speaker will be Tony Desylvester, a management trainer. Also available at the seminar will be information for adults who may be interested in returning to school to learn a new career, earn a college diploma or upgrade workplace skills for a job promotion, along with information on admission procedures, transfer programs and financial aid.

Visit Grossmont College for the Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department's rendition of Lost in Yonkers.

Featuring Grossmont College drama students and directed by Grossmont College Theatre Arts instructor Jeannette Thomas, Lost in Yonkers is a story set in 1942 about brothers Artie and Jay who learn about the definition of family from their gangster uncle, an aunt with the mentality of a child and a steely, formidable grandmother who struggles to understand love.

Postal workers across America will collect food donations for the , the nation’s largest, single-day food drive operated by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and the U.S. Postal Service.

Letter carriers in San Diego County are asking residents to support the food drive by placing a bag of nonperishable food items by their mailboxes before their mail is delivered on Saturday, May 12.

Residents can also drop off food donations at their local post offices. And if you miss this chance, you can always donate to the .
