Photos: Coffee Corner at Town Center Celebrates Grand Opening

The second incarnation of Santee's Coffee Corner was packed Friday morning with local well known faces, leaders and customers for a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration.

The new location at Town Center (235 Town Center Pkwy) opened in August between Home Depot and Chuze Fitness. The original location at the Pathways Church shopping center in west Santee, which opened in 2009, remains open as usual.

Duane and Suzie Parks own and operate the family-run enterprise that's known for loyal customers, a knack for helping nonprofits, and great coffee.

The Santee Chamber of Commerce was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting, along with representatives from local politicians to congratulate the expansion.

Duane said part of the reason for choosing the Town Center location is the large number of students that will soon be in the area when San Diego Christian College opens their campus at the Riverview office park.

The new Coffee Corner has private space available for meetings and local photographer Johnson Wilkinson has leased a space for his Front Porch Studio. Duane said he also hopes to have music and entertainment coming soon.
