Santee Holiday Lighting Celebration Draws Thousands for Music and Fun

On the count of ten the huge tree at Trolley Square lit up with fireworks along with all the other city lights around Santee.

Thousands of Santeeans gathered at Trolley Square Friday night to count down the simultaneous lighting of the huge Christmas tree and all the other city holiday lights around town.

Kids and holiday-loving adults packed the shopping mall quad and amphitheater to dance to the Buoy Brothers, take a carriage ride, "ice" skate, decorate cookies, and of course, take a seat on Santa's lap, at this year's Holiday Lighting Celebration.
