Santee VFW Partners With American Legion

The hope of Post 364 is to make a welcoming environment for all veterans and their families.

Submitted by Santee VFW Post

Santee VFW Post 9327 warmly welcomes the rebirth of American Legion Post 364 by offering them a place to meet and call home.

The American Legion is the largest veteran’s service organization in the nation and is committed to aiding their fellow veterans and families as well as the community in which they reside. They are currently accepting new membership applications as well as transfer applications.

The Santee Post 364 is a joint effort of Legion members of the previous Lakeside Post 364 and Legion members currently residing in the Santee area. The hope of Post 364 is to make a welcoming environment for all veterans and their families.

The formation of Legion Post 364 in Santee was helped along by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9327. The VFW, much like the American Legion, is a veteran’s service organization and believes there are a lot of similarities between the two organizations. The VFW offered up a place for the Legion post to call home within the same facility that the VFW uses.

Newly elected Santee American Legion Commander Gene Michonski said: “It’s a great gesture the VFW has shown us in letting us share their facilities. It creates an environment where veterans of different conflicts and branches of service can feel welcome.”

VFW Commander Christopher Hanson couldn’t agree more stating: “Having the American Legion here grows our veteran community in Santee that much more and with their help we will be able to serve more of the community.”

The Santee American Legion phone number and address is:
(619)562-4022 / 8790 Cuyamaca St. Suite F Santee, CA 92071.

Can't send messages to Dad because he's now deceased, but my dad was very wise...He'd say thingsRead More like: "You can get arrested for what you say, but not what you think!" - or - "Take care of your feet, and they'll take care of you!" My dad wasn't much for words, but he was always a stable figure growing up and was loyal to mom throughout the years. Nowadays, that in and of itself is honorable! Thank you Dad! In Loving Memory...
