Holiday cheer, lost playoff hopes, and more happened this week.

Weekend Review

The San Diego Section playoff committee saw fit to match and Imperial high schools after the teams played to a 14-14 deadlock on Sept. 17. Since the schools failed to play overtime, turned into the ultimate of tiebreakers.

But this one all belonged to the visitors from the Imperial Valley, who beat the Sultans 18-7. This ends the Sultans season.
