Santee Fire Dept. Community Safety Fair/Open House and BBQ

October is Fire Prevention Month and the Fire Department will be opening their doors to invite everyone in the community to join them at their annual Fire Prevention & Public Safety Fair on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 11:00a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Fire Station 4, located at Mission Gorge Rd. and Cottonwood Ave.

Each October, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) sponsors a fire prevention campaign to highlight the importance of fire safety education. The nationwide theme for this year is “Protect Your Family From Fire!”    This year’s theme focuses on how to protect your family from fire by planning ahead and integrating simple behaviors into your everyday life.  By equipping your home with fire prevention and protection systems and paying attention to potential fire hazards in your home, you can make a difference that will last a lifetime and reduce fire injuries, deaths, and property loss.

On October 15th, the Santee Fire Department will bring these, along with other important safety messages to the community, showing them simple ways they can “Protect Your Family From Fire!”
