Miss Santee Pageant Fundraiser: 'A Night of Talent and Fashion'

The , in combination with Miss San Diego Cities, Miss La Mesa and Miss Rancho Jamul pageants, are teaming up to hold the fourth annual benefiting all of the pageant’s scholarship funds.

The Talent and Fashion Show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Steele Canyon High School Theater at 6:30 p.m. The models and performers will consist of former contestants and titleholders in the various pageant programs.  Wardrobe will be provided by local businesses including the Santee Town Center’s , Fashion Kiss of La Mesa and Grossmont Center’s PreVue.  The fashions will feature clothing perfect for back to school or a homecoming dance.

The fundraiser was established 2009 by former Miss Santee, Sierra Billock in an effort to raise scholarship funds for the Miss Santee pageant in a struggling economy.  

“Our goal is to raise over $5,000 to benefit all these wonderful pageant organizations” says Troy Hartpence, Miss Santee Pageant Director.  

“All of the proceeds will go back into giving the 2013 contestants and titleholders scholarship money to further their education.”  

Last year Miss Santee 2012 Victoria Heyne was awarded a $1,000 scholarship and Miss Teen Santee, Casey Maynard a $500 scholarship.

The show is open to the public and includes a silent auction. Tickets are $10 each.
