Hot rods, craft beer and live entertainment take center stage at the Santee Car Show on Saturday, October 12.
The fourth annual event, free to the public, will take place on Riverview Parkway at Mission Gorge Road from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event features more than 200 hot rods, classic cars, off road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as live classic rock music, a beer garden and BBQ vendors.
New to the event this year is a family-friendly carnival area with bumper cars, slides and more.
20,000 attendees are expected throughout the day. In addition to enjoying the car show, bands and more than 100 food and merchandise vendors, guests will help vote for the top car show trophy winners.
Extreme Automotive will also be bringing one extra special car from out of town, Wild Thang, which shoots flames 34’ in the air. Bands include Break on Thru, a Doors tribute band, and Classic Chrome Rock n Roll Revue.
“We’re pretty fortunate to have so many unique elements at our car show,” said John Morley, event chair. “This isn’t your typical event – we have lots of eye-catching elements to keep folks entertained throughout the day.”
Attendees will have the chance to win one very special raffle prize – a 1966 Mustang. Raffle tickets for the Mustang are $20 and can be purchased at the Santee Chamber of Commerce or at the event. (A limited number of raffle tickets are available.)
Admission to the event is free. Event sponsors include O’Reilly Auto Parts, Walmart, Santee Lakes, New Cars Inc., Courtesy Chevrolet and Lloyd’s Collision.
